What was it like working on the Beethoven Set?
Working on the set of Beethoven was really lots of fun even though some mornings we had to be on set at 6AM. And believe it or not it can be cold that early even in Florida! It was fun being on set with all of the different animals.
What was the audtion process like for Beethoven and where you excited?
I got the part of Katie after auditioning with lots of other actors. I went to an initial audition and then to a second. I was thrilled when they called to tell me that I got the part and was even more thrilled to hear that Moises was going to be in the movie too.
How do you get ideas when writing your songs?
When I write songs, I basically just get an idea in my head about a certain subject and then I start telling the story. Before recording I try and practice all the different parts (lead vocal, backup vocals, ad libs and other ideas) so that things will go more smoothly once I get into the recording studio.
Whats the most exciting thing that has happened so far with your carrer?
Hmmmm….thats a hard one because there are so many exciting things that have happened. Even when I go in for an audition and might not book that role, its still exciting going into the audition and reading for a casting director or producers. But I would have to say the most exciting thing yet would be having been called back to read for a new Disney tv show as well as filming with Moises on Beethoven and then going to the premiere.
Do you miss living in Florida?
Yes, I miss living in Florida and I miss my friends back home. But living in California is awesome too! We both have Disney, sunshine and beaches so its all good!
Which do you like better Singing or Acting?
That’s a hard one too because I love them both. I hope to someday be able to land a role which will allow me to act and sing together – maybe in my own show?
Do you want to be in more movies or maybe even a tv series?
Of course! I hope to be lucky enough to be asked to be in another movie or tv series.
What was your reaction to getting the role of Katie in Beethovens Big Break?
My jaw dropped and I had the biggest smile on my face that you could imagine. My mom had gotten me tickets to see the Hannah Montana concert and my agent met us before the show to tell me the great news….so I have to say that was an AWESOME day!
What is it like when fans message you and tell you they love your music or acting?
I’m really happy that in some small way I have brightened someone elses day either by my music or by being in a tv show or movie. I am happy when someone writes to tell me that I inspired them to try something they’ve always wanted to do or to continue to pursue something that they love. I just received fan mail from Japan from a girl named Hitomi. She said I have a lots of fans in Japan….that just seems incredible to me!!
